Gerat job Maria! I love the blog, a fab way to keep everyone informed. I came in to work this morning to find another 10 pairs of knickers on my desk. 400? Bring it on! ;o)

  4. smallsforall Says:

Thanks Stella! Still very much a blog newbie so you’ll need to bear with me. Am hoping to get some kind of “knicker ticker” or “pantometer” so people can see what I have in terms of sizes etc.
    Watch this space….

Maria, Just to let you know that the Large business Edinburgh (HMRC) has joined your knicker crusade and to date have 84 for your appeal but I expect this to rise in the coming week or so.

  8. smallsforall Says:

Thanks Les, that’s brilliant. Will be posting another update tomorrow but think we’re up to around 1600 and people are still collecting, really confident we’ll get more than 2000 now.

  9. Les Atkinson Says:

Over 400 pants on your way from the LBS. It was a fantatic effort from an office of around 50 -60 people who all got involved.

Well done to everyone who took part in your knicker crusade and keep up the good work!

    • smallsforall Says:

Hi Les, that is brilliant!! I’m meeting your wife and Ian tomorrow in a car park to collect, as well as collecting from another friend who lives in South Queensferry. The knicker mobile will be full of pants – let’s hope I don’t crash on the way home….
Hoping to update at the weekend so look out for the new total! Have you checked the Photo Gallery??
Thanks again to all at LBS.

I know you’re extremely busy so we can catch up in a couple of weeks once you’re back from Kenya and then I can get what I have collected to you well in advance of your June deadline.

    Can this be developed?
    Could the network be widened?

Tesco Direct sell a silver swing bin for £7.99 and also Argos. If smallsforall could raise funds to buy these bins and print an eye catching sticker these could be displayed in stores such as H&M, M&S, BHS, The Co-operative, La Senza, Secrets, Store Twenty One etc. etc. This way other countries such as Somalia could benefit too.

    • smallsforall Says:

Hi Debbie. Thank you very much for your email. I am delighted that people are so enthusiastic about what we are doing. However, we are a small, newly established charity and we don’t yet have the framework, the resources or distribution network to manage a national appeal through major retailers. It is certainly part of our plans for the future but we can’t afford to widen our reach too quickly or we’ll not be able to cope with the response. As it is, we have been delighted but overwhelmed by the response to the article which appeared in the Readers Digest. The last thing we want to do is collect a load of underwear that we can’t then distribute to the right people. I really don’t want to put you off though. Can I come back to you towards the end of this year when we are doing our planning for 2012, by which time I hope that we’ll have everything in place to make a national appeal.

      Thanks for your support.

As part of dundee womens festival 2011 we have collect 4000+ pairs of new knickers. Are you still collecting them? We are checking out a couple of places who might want them. The organisation we had originally planned to donate them to is no longer operating. Look forward to hearing from you.
